Bank on George’s Plank Winners Give Back to KOK!

Last weekend KOK Founder George Namkung (pictured above with KOK supporter Warren Hersowitz, his wife Joanne and trainer Shane Johnston) succeeded in breaking his plank record with a time of 12:02 (his previous best was 10:00)! The two co-winners who had the closest guess were Chris Coccagna and Mitch Junkins. Both men were entitled to split the pot with Kids of Kilimanjaro and each received $1,143.75. Instead they both opted to give the money right back to Kids of Kilimanjaro. Their generosity and kindness is truly inspiring. Meet these two amazing guys below:

Kids of Kilimanjaro’s 6th annual “Give Them Lunch…Give Them Hope” fundraising gala will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Our featured keynote speaker will be former Governor Bill Richardson and other special guests will be announced soon. The evening will feature cocktails, a silent and live auction, dinner and plenty of inspiration. Seating is limited so please mark your calendars!

Welcome to the Kids of Kilimanjaro Blog!

We thought it was about time that we have one since there are often exciting things going on that we’d like to update our donors and supporters on. Our blog will be the place to get updates on the organization, including information on our annual fundraising gala in the fall, progress reports and opportunities to get involved. We also hope that the blog will be a place for KOK fans to interact with one another and share ideas.
